Area Sales Manager (US)

Commercial/Sales Department

We are looking for a dynamic, results-orientated Area Sales Manager capable of leading our sales efforts in the US market, focusing on the state of Kentucky.

Ideally, the candidate should have a proven track record of growing sales and building strong, lasting relationships with customers. Experience in the spirits packaging sector is an advantage, but not mandatory.

This role requires a candidate with a strategic and dynamic vision, capable of implementing effective sales tactics to achieve objectives and expand J.A.Beira’s presence in the market. You will play a strategic role in business growth and development.

The candidate must live in Kentucky or nearby states and must be available to travel and explore the American market in person.

 

Main Roles and Responsibilities

The candidate will be responsible for the following assignments:

 

1. Sales Strategy

  • Developing and implementing a sales strategy for the American market, in line with the company’s goals and objectives.

 

2. Market Expansion

  • Identifying new business opportunities and potential clients in the spirits sector, in the Kentucky region.
  • Collaborating with the marketing team to create specific campaigns and promotional initiatives to increase brand awareness and customer engagement in this market.
  • Developing and promoting strategic partnerships with key stakeholders.
  • Taking part in trade fairs and events relevant to the market.

 

3. Customer Relationship Management

  • Creating and maintaining solid relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and providing solutions tailored to their requirements.
  • Directly managing the various customer requests/needs, proactively addressing customer concerns, resolving problems, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Create customised solutions for the client, collaborating with the Design Department and the New Project Development Department.
  • Negotiating agreements and monitoring customer/buyer satisfaction.
  • Hold regular meetings and presentations with customers to communicate product offers, updates and value propositions.

 

4. Analysing Sales Performance

  • Monitor sales metrics, market trends and the competitive landscape to identify growth opportunities and potential challenges.
  • Preparing and presenting detailed sales reports, describing results, forecasts, and recommended strategies to improve the situation.

 

5. Strategic Planning

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide information and input for product development, pricing strategies and market positioning.
  • Contribute to the creation of annual sales budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall objectives.

 

Requirements

  1. Proven experience of at least 3 years in sales management in industrial companies, with a demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets.
  2. Experience in the market will be highly valued.

  1. Interpersonal and communication skills to build and maintain relationships with clients.
  2. Excellent negotiation, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
  3. Strategic thinking skills to analyse market trends and develop effective sales strategies.
